Wheel Throwing I/II: An EIGHT week intensive course on the building blocks of basic and advanced wheel throwing. The course is open-ended and based on the student’s skill levels. However, several of the things covered are: throwing larger forms, throwing lidded pieces, throwing matching sets and pieces, throwing sectional pieces, and a deeper knowledge of glaze application.
Hand building in Clay: An EIGHT week intensive course covering the many aspects of hand building with clay. We will be covering a progression in clay from coil building, drape molding, slump molding, slab construction, and extruder pieces. This form of clay focuses on attention to detail, craftsmanship, and an expression of your inner artists coming forth! One of the main positive aspects of hand building is you don’t have to center your clay! Therefore, most of our equipment usage will revolve around a slab roller and the extruder. This is a great class to gain an appreciation in clay as well as make some wonderful work using your imagination!
